Main research areas are: Audio processing application development based on smart mobile devices such as mobile phones, innovated musical instrument design; Realization and design based on the "augmented reality" stage of new media theater; Using sensors to extend the expressions of musicians/performers, processing electronic audio effects in real-time; Interactive music/multimedia installations for art exhibitions.
Frequently participating in the festivals like EMW, ICMC, NIME, RAW; immersing in research projects, forums, and realization of concert with the creation and research centers like GRAME, IRCARM, CCRMA, etc.
Relation with Max
Practice with MaxMSP 5 since 2010.
Teaching “Sound Art Design”and“Interactive coding in Electronic Music” since 2019 at Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
As a computer music engineer, Max is almost my first choice and preference during the creation. Since MaxMSP 4, I grow with its evolution both graphically and functionally. Especially in China, during the course in our conservatory, more and more students getting interested with Max. And of course, the official certified trainer organized by Cycling 74 is really a good news for our community.
